Directed by Jay Peckham

A drama critic reconsiders marriage when he discovers that insanity runs in his family. His family includes two spinster aunts who poison lonely old men with home-made elderberry wine, a brother who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt and digs locks for the Panama Canal in the cellar and an escaped convict brother who has received plastic surgery by an alcoholic accomplice. It gets worse !

Arsenic and Old Lace, a madcap black comedy, premiered on Broadway in 1941 and was the hit of the season. It has become best known through the film adaptation starring Cary Grant and directed by Frank Capra.

Good macabre fun and the perfect closer for the season.
