COMMUNITY PRODUCTIONS

Although the Imperial Theatre is home to Theatre Sarnia productions and Imperial presents, it also plays host to a large number of Community organizations who use the Imperial on a rental basis to stage their productions. Our staff work with these organizations to ensure that they adhere to Theatre standards and to provide them with a facility that meets their expectations.

Theatre Sarnia, as owner of the Imperial Theatre, has a Vision of Excellence in Artistic Leadership and Development and to that end have a stated Mission :

  • To develop and support art and culture in Sarnia and Lambton County.
  • To foster the appreciation and presentation of the performing arts.
  • To manage and maintain the premiere entertainment/community venue in Lambton County.
  • To encourage the development of artistic expression by other community partners.
  • To present the widest range of performing arts, through partnerships with professional promoters,agents and artists, for the benefit of the community.

The Imperial Theatre may be rented by any organization both local community or professional organizations by contacting our Executive Director.

Parking / Transit

There are approximately 100 spaces on Christina Street and the adjacent streets, all within 5 minute walk of the Imperial Theatre. There is a 2 hr free on street parking limit Monday to Friday until 6 pm. Parking on street is free all day on Saturday and Sunday and after 6 pm every evening. Parking rates vary during the day Monday to Friday until 6 pm. After 6 pm parking is free, as well as all day on Saturday and Sunday.
